What are the benefits from customers surveying?

Hey ppl... I need some different ideas from you guys =) Thanks!

What are the benefits from customers surveying?
customer surveys are actually a good thing. Although many people do not realize the importance because they do not see what happens on the inside of each corporation. Surveys can lead to changes and even if people decide they don't want to sign one or answer the questions they wont be heard and the problem won't be fixed. For example, radio stations often times will have surveys that ask what station you like most. Where I live they recently had a radio station change from pop to Mexican.Spanish music. Several people were upset and only got mad after the fact. but when looking at the surveys people answered they prefered the one over the other. It is strange how things work out.

It is importnat because we get a first hand information from the customers like what they really to buy from your store or whatsover.. the fact that they are the cusomers then they are the one who will decide what will be the product or service you will give/make availble for them.
