Looking for a new career!!!?
Dreams, always believe in Fate. Perhaps that hospital job is not where you need to be. Things happen for a reason. I encourage you to get into the health care field.

Start off either as a CNA or Phlebotomist and you will have a head start into a rewarding career.

From there you might want to spread your wings and become a nurse (like I want to do)

I also worked in clerical/general office for years and got tired of the same rut day in and out.

There's never a boring moment working in health care. Sure it's stressful, but at least you don't have deadlines to meet or prepare that stupid PowerPoint presentation that your boss is hounding you to do.

Go with the health care field and you will never go wrong!
Reply:If you want the holiday's off then health care is not for you. People need to be taken care of every day and night of the year. Lots of departments require you to be on call too. Look into a dr office receptionist. Most offices close on holidays and weekends. To really advance out of the low level job rut you need to go to college and be trained in a specific field. Health care pays well and can support a family just be choosey where you work to get the time off you want. You can always reapply to the hospital for a different job. There are lots of administration jobs opening up all the time. Usually administration doesn't work weekends/holidays.
Reply:Have you contacted the interviewers? I have not had many interviews in my entire life(almost 40).

When you get to the interview and you think it is good, then you have a right to make a fallow-up call and ask. Keep track of the reasons each employer gives and look for a pattern that you can change.
Reply:Try DR offices.
