Alternative Energy Survey - What do you think?

1. Do you believe the government focuses enough attention on alternative energy?





2. Should the government focus more money and legislation towards improving existing energy sources or alternative energy sources?





3. What do you feel is the biggest concern regarding alternative energy? (Cost/Efficiency/Emissions)





4. Should the government put price limits on gas?

1) Not nearly enough.


2) Both, but mainly alternative.


3) Cost, existing infrastructure, govt tariffs, our energy history, energy lobby groups


4) the govt should not subsidise gas at all, in fact they should increase the tax on it, price is the only thing that consumers react to. unfortunately, it would be political suicied


5) defintiely, see silicon (solar) as an example


6) they definitely should, they should cut subisidies fossil industries

9) electric, but climate warm enough so only use about 1 month a year

3. Cost. I looked into getting solar panels placed on my house and it was more expensive than the house itself.

5. In the beginning, but as technology grows and more materials are found or manufactured, then the cost will subside.


6. There should be enough to cover almost everything. Cut the cost of the was and invest in alternative fuels.

9. Natural gas and wood fireplace although I'd like to heat it alternative options.


10. Yes, I saw on television a home in Canada that was constructed in such a way that the cost to heat it and cool was $0. It had to do with insulation, warm water tubes running through the structure and another form that I cannot remember.
