No direct sales, soliciting or fake surveys please. Customer surveys are great but not the ones you have to sign up for programs or opt out so you don't get charged for things.

Instead, consider starting up your own business or working overtime at your current job.

I have been looking into this making money online business for a while now.

A good starting point to make cash online is using IFW (incentivized freebie website).I cannot explain the system here as it is quite detailed, therefore I have written a detailed article regarding this, which you can read here:

http://www.goarticles.com/cgi-bin/showa....

I have experimented with other ways including affiliate marketing, surveys, adsense etc and did not succeed. This by far has been the most viable way. It will not make you a millionaire but make anywhere between 100-1000 dollars a month with some work.

And the best thing about this system is that everybody makes money and it is not going to be saturated anytime soon.

The Pizza Shop wanted to determine what proportion of its customers ordered only cheese pizza. Out of 80 customers surveyed, 15 ordered cheese pizza. What is the 99% confidence interval of the true proportion of customers who order only cheese pizza?

A) 0.115%26lt;p%26lt;0.260

B) 0.086%26lt;p%26lt;0.289

C) 0.102%26lt;p%26lt;0.273

D) 0.075%26lt;p%26lt;0.300

And this is what I am getting

N= 80, p hat = 15/80 = 0.1875, q hat = 1 – 0.1875 = 0.8125 and z sub α/2 = 2.58

0.1875 -2.58√(0.175*0.825/500) %26lt; p %26lt; 0.1875 -2.58√(0.175*0.825/500)

0.1875 – 0.045 %26lt; p%26lt; 0.1875 + 0.045

0.1425 %26lt; p %26lt; 0.2325

My answer dos not mach the options, what am I doing wrong?

Can you help with my statistics homework?
%26lt;%26lt;0.1875 -2.58√(0.175*0.825/500) %26lt; p %26lt; 0.1875 -2.58√(0.175*0.825/500)%26gt;%26gt;

Why are you dividing by 500 in the denominator? That should be the sample size, which is 80. I get a margin of error of .1126, which when added to phat gives us .3001. I'm going to go with (D) for the answer.

Yahoo Survey on Cust.Service ..What Was My Question?

I received a 'Customer Service Survey" ..HOW DID WE DO?

i HAVE NOT clue .. since I don't know which issue Yahoo is asking about.

1. Send ME a copy of the request I make to you so I can track it.

2. Advise ME what the issue was in regard to how YAHOO handled it .. I send in many issues .. I have NO CLUE which one you are asking about. .. Try INCLUDING my concern

3. Respect my intellectual level. At 64 years old, I don't dis-respect the English Language, and use verbage from the HIP-HOP generation. Try selecting your template responses based on age groups .. it would be more effective.

Verbage from 'Yahoo Customer Service Survey"

"Oh yeah, one last thing. Once in awhile, we contact a few customers for additional info about their feedback.

Sure, why not?

No way!

Yahoo Survey on Cust.Service ..What Was My Question?
Ah, typical Yahoo behavior. Not a thought given to making it user friendly. Exactly why I say they put the "Dis" into "Customer DIS-Service."

I'd like to give them feedback, alright! LOL!

I am studying Marketing in MBA. I have project Yahoo vs Google . I need to survey Advertising Customers?

I am studying Marketing in MBA. I have project Yahoo vs Google Customers. Customers mean companies or individuals generating revenue (NOT users like us). I need to survey them , ask questions..

I tried contacting some people, but it looks like mission impossible ..

The problems are :

1) Advertisers don’t contact directly deal with yahoo or Google they have third parties or agents, Who create. place and manage advertisements for them.

2) Its difficult to reach to decision maker, who is responsible for selecting Google or yahoo. They are behind many layers.

3) These people won’t have much time to spare , since I need at least 15-20 minutes per survey.

I was hoping my contacts in Yahoo or Google would help me finding contacts, but looks like its hard for them too.

Please suggest How can I find real people or customers of Yahoo and Google.

I am studying Marketing in MBA. I have project Yahoo vs Google . I need to survey Advertising Customers?
Both Yahoo and Google have certification programs: Google's adwords professional individual/company and Yahoo!'s ambassador; Those professionals are most likely to deal exclusively with PPC ads and manage ads for clients of their own. It is not a must to be certified to do online advertising, but it helps for the image. You can easily find certified companies/individuals because of the proudly stamped pro badge on their websites. Some search keywords ideas 'certified adwords ' or 'yahoo ambassador'

Other types of people who place ads are either the webmaster, the person responsible for marketing, or the small business owners themselves (after all it is pretty easy to set up small ppc campaign).

You can reach all of the above by starting from the url in any ppc ad then going to the website and finding their contact info.

I'm not saying it would be easy but if you write them a convincing letter on research objectives and how they will benefit from your survey (example: 'participants receive copy of the survey report') this will increase your response rates.

What i would do is to email the survey link (self-administered online questionnaire /in the past i have used questionpro.com /) and inside the email i will write 'please forward to the person responsible for choosing online advertising' and 'it will benefit your company as you will receive the survey report.'

My guesstimate is that if well written 15% of all emails will reach a decision maker and it will take you a week of part time work to collect statistically significant number of respondents.

just a note: linkedin.com (online networking site) is a good place to find decision makers of all calibers.

note2: I think that Derek Gehl (marketing tips), Eben Pagan (getaltitude program), and other coaches on small business on-line marketing are good contacts as their students are most likely to use both adwords and yahoo search marketing . If you have ever considered to make couple of calls for leads better be someone like them.

note3 the most important ;) \ if it is just a project for getting some grade i wouldn't even bother and will stick only to the available secondary information.

Hope this helps.

Have a good one.

Help with Yahoo Customer Service??

I know that Yahoo is free, but they have been horrible in dealing with me!! I want to move my photos to Shutterfly since Yahoo Photos is closing, and first requested the transfer almost THREE MONTHS AGO. After dealing with Shutterfly customer service, they told me what I needed to do to potentially fix the problem. It involved contacting Yahoo Customer Service. They have given me NO answers, just the same stalling email "We are looking into the problem". After finally tracking down a phone number to call, I was told that it's only for Yahoo Premium (read: Paying) customers. Does anyone know how I can actually get results from contacting these inept people??? (ps I filled out a "customer satisfaction" survey to already let them know how I feel... but it hasn't done much good apparently! After this I will NEVER EVER use ANY yahoo service or product again!!!)

Help with Yahoo Customer Service??
I wouldnt be that drastic

Yahoo has been pretty good about getting right on the transfers... so I dont know what the deal is- I think actually it is Shutterfly - dont blame it on Yahoo

Phone numbers are not for premium members only--

i am a premium member and well they never even sent a number but i found a couple

here ya go:

Where do you think most customer service is based?

Well most of us can not understand customer service is saying? because of thir accents? their tone? or can not even understand ENGLISH... are they based in US (nothing person just a survey)

Where do you think most customer service is based?
Many companies have customer service centers based in India.

My former company had a help desk center in Argentina. I haven't had any real problem understanding them though.

How can you tell if you are about to get fired from your job?

My boss has been acting kind of weird towards me for the past few weeks. Usually she is very friendly and talkative, but lately she has been very standoff-ish. My coworkers really don't talk to me. I have been working here for about 8 months. I haven't done anything to get fired, but my job performance is rated by our customer service surveys. I have maintained high customer service scores since I have been here.I am in a union, and my department is supposed to get a raise every year, and everyone in my department got a raise except for me. Should I be worried? Is this something I should talk to my boss about?

How can you tell if you are about to get fired from your job?
Just come right out and ask your boss if there is a problem and tell her exactly what you've told us. It is only fair that you should know what is going on at work. This way you won't have to sit and wonder and make yourself crazy and it's not fair to be treated that way at work.
Reply:Usually, if you're about to get fired from a job, they cut your hours back to nothing (if you're working part-time). Why not ask your boss why you didn't get a raise? Ask her what she thinks you should be doing better, and then do it.
Reply:Request a meeting with your boss to find out what's going on. Have your union representative there.
Reply:ask her maybe she has something going on in her life that shes been acting different sometimes the way people act react is not all about you

What do you think of the company name GuestMinder.com, a restaurant survey and marketing company?

I am looking to find a name for my business. It is very difficult these days to find a domain that is available and gives customers an idea of what you do.

What do you think of the company name GuestMinder.com, a restaurant survey and marketing company?
It's generally not a good idea to put your idea for a ".com" out into the public domain. if you haven't secured it yet and decide it's a winner, you might find that someone has done some net real estate speculation and would be happy to sell it to you for a handsome profit. That said, I don't think the name gets at what you are doing in the business. It sounds more like a hotel spying site.

-clamosaurus
Reply:I agree with clamor, that name gives me the creeps.

I would go with a made up name, sort of like CustoResto or something. However i would not suggest purchasing a domain from someone else as it could easily be several hundred dollars.
Reply:Its a cool name. If you tell more about your target audience, I could suggest some domain names as well.

Electric usage survey question.?

The utility company wishes to estimate the percentage of people in the U.S. who use electricity to heat their homes. Past data indicate that 154 out of 700 customers surveyed used electricity to heat their homes. If the company wishes to be 99.5% confident to within 3%, how large a sample would be needed?

b. 733

c. 854

d. 1036

e. 1265

f. 1503

g. 2066

You have been appointed as Director Quality Improvement in a large Health Maintenance Organization?

You have been appointed as Director Quality Improvement in a large Health Maintenance Organization. Your 2004 customer satisfaction survey (CAHPS) shown members being dissatisfied with accessibility and quality of care provided. In addition the (HEDIS) Preventive studies have shown results are below the benchmark in Annual Eye exam screening for Diabetes patients (members). It is now your responsibility to proceed with improving the Quality within your organization. How will you proceed?

You have been appointed as Director Quality Improvement in a large Health Maintenance Organization?
I would first take a census survey to completely evaluate the current needs and quality of treetment ... I would then improve the accessibility and improve the level of care provided by adding staff or even imporving qualifications for the positions..............

How does online Surveys help our company? can any 1 suggest some good online survey sites?

My boss has asked me to go create a project on better relationship between the customer and our company.

I thought we could use online surveys for that. Any suggestions?

How does online Surveys help our company? can any 1 suggest some good online survey sites?
Well if your company does its business mostly by the internet, then this might be a good idea. If on the other hand your dealings with customers are face to face or over the phone, then your interface with customer sould be in a similar manner. Customers like what is familar, so you should use the same method of communicating.

Surveymonkey is one of the most widely used free tools out there.

Websurveyor is what we use. It is great and very cost effective (they have a 3 month package starting at $500). With websurveyor, you can have your own branding and eliminate any outside ads of logos.

Feel free to email me direct (click on image) if you would like more info on either or just about surveys in general.
Reply:I have taken surveys on line and seen some of their problems.

1. People take them only if they are offered a reward. That means you only get people who are in need and have time on their hands. Probably not the group you want to reach.

2. People who are in the habit of taking surveys will tailor their answers to match the survey. Why? They only get that reward if they finish the survey so they have to answer the way the survey wants them to. You don't get honest answers.

Surveys are pretty much a waste of time. I suggest you look at how customers are being treated by your employees. If employees are friendly and interested in the customer and treat every one with respect, it will improve your sales. Customer service is what brings people back.

Please help by taking an easy 3 question survey?

1) Which would you rather be called (and why) A client or a customer?

2) What would you call a proprietor of an eight person company, President or Owner ?

3) What state do you live in?

Thanks, This will be very helpful to my business.

Please help by taking an easy 3 question survey?
Glad to help.

1) I would rather be called a customer: being called a client feels too fake to me. It makes me feel like you are walking on eggshells, trying to avoid hurting my feelings and dancing around the fact that I am what I am - a person paying for your product or services. Customer just feels more warm and real to me.

2) Technically, both. You can be an owner, but have a different President who is not an owner. You can also have an owner also be the President. For example, I am Owner and President of my own company. You could also say "Founder and President" to clarify that picture though. It sounds a little better I think.

3) I live in Illinois during the school year (college), but call Virginia my home.
Reply:1. Client...it shows more of a relationship than a customer.

2. It could be either, a lot say President/Owner. I fit into this category and business card says President. When I speak to clients, when it adds to the conversation, I do tell them I am also an owner.

3. Florida
Reply:1) I'd prefer be called a client because it just sounds more professional, especially if you're in some sort of business.

2) I'd say Owner because the company is too small.

3) Sunny California
Reply:1) I'd much rather be called a client. This implies that we're working together on my product or service, as opposed to customer, which implies that I simply buy things from you.

2) I'd call the proprietor the President.

3) I live in CA
Reply:client

proprietor

illinois
Reply:1) Client. I am an insurance agent, and we refer to our insureds as clients all the time, not customers. I think it all depends on the business. Customers maybe more for banking or the food industry, clients more for professional/business.

2) Owner

3) WI
Reply:1) A customer,for I like the greater respect.

2) I would call she/he an owner.

3) I live in GA.
Reply:1. Definitely a client. You can only be a customer at the time you are buying a service or a product. But you can be a client all the time, no matter if you're buying or not. So yeah, I'd rather be a client. It seems more important than just a customer.

2. President... And you don't have to be the president to be the owner, nor do you have to be the owner to be the president. Yeah... I'd rather be the president of the company... No matter what, it lets us all know who's in charge.

3. I live in Canada, in the province of Quebec...

2) Owner

3) GA

How to compare individual likert scale items to the overall coefficient?

I have doen a customer satisfaction survey based on likert scale, and for which i have the overall satisfaction quotient also on likert scale, i need to calculate how much does the individual likert item influence the overall satisfaction rating?

I want to do a market survey over the phone?

I wanted to find out if people in my community are receiving any Avon, Regal, Home %26amp; Gift, or Watkins books and catalogues. If they aren't and if they are interested, I would offer them a choice of any catalogues. This may be a good way to get some leads.

Because of my work schedule and my child, I don't have time to go door-to-door. What would be the best words or phrases to use when asking people? Otherwise I don't like calling strangers out of the blue because of their negative reactions.

Or can I hire a person who can do the calls for me. If so, what's a good script for them to use?

The other methods I've used for gaining customeers are classified ads, having a booth at a flea market/craft show, the Welcome Wagon sponsor program, and giving incentives for customers who provide referrals.

I want to do a market survey over the phone?
It sounds more like a telemarketer. Market surveys do not have offers at the end of the survey. They are utilized to develop information about certain demographics. I think you should keep up with the other marketing strategies. The incentives are definitely a good idea.

Also the negative reactions are part of the game. Re-think if sales is your strong point. There are a bunch of ways to make extra money. You should love what you are doing.
Reply:Market Surveys are the building blocks to your business. You need to find out what your clients wants and needs are.

I have done them in the past and still use them from time to time to try to figure out what they want and need.

If I were you, I would create a simple survey, asking them what their wants and needs are.

Just becasue they are receiving Avon books and whatnot, does not mean they are finding what they are looking for.

Ask what they are interested in; as far as cosmetics or whatever subject you are selling. Ask them things like do you use eye-liner, or any other products you are going to make available.

Lets say you asked them about 5 different products, and 1 product got many more responses as "Yes" then the others did. You would use that "1" product as a hot button to promote to the public. That way you know you are getting their attention. From there you can introduce the other products that wern't so "HOT". But keep the emphasis on that number "1" and "2" product, to make sure people will read your promo.

Its a daunting task, but if you set it up right, you will only have to do it once.
Reply:Before starting your telemarketing enterprise, you'd do well to familiarize yourself with the Federal Telecommunications Act of 2004.

You will be stringently audited, and will have to conform to all of the provisions of the Act.

The fines for violations of the Act are steep: $10,000 per violation.

A morning of making calls without knowing the Act inside and out could bankrupt you.
Reply:sound like telemarket to me they are annoying
Reply:Please stay away from CashCreate, Treasure Trooper and other survey Web sites.

It is a waste of time and will cause you unhappiness.

If you choose to be suckered in and sign up to take surveys and receive, free trials considered you were warned. The minute you give them your credit card and personal information you have now opened your computer to unwanted cookies on your hard drive, annoying pop-up windows and if you are on a PC you open your computer to viruses that can wipe you out.

A lot of work to collect the "reward payments" that payout is not worth the effort over time. You will need to sign up for many types of offers, most of which require you to use a credit card. You start a week trial service with varies types of businesses or services, such as, an Internet service provider, book club, credit monitoring service, etc. to get your reward. If you don't cancel the trial, you end up being charged for the service and each service has different rules about how and when you can cancel. Very cumbersome!

Since you will need to sign up for at least a dozen offers before you get to $100 in rewards, it's very easy to forget what you have signed up for, or the problems you will have canceling in time to to be charged the full amount. The Cash Create recruiters you see here over exaggerate how much money you can earn because once you've done the high-dollar trials ($8-10 each), you are left with small rewards of a dollar or two. The survey business is not an efficient way to make money and you are more than likely to loose money in the end.

So...before you actually finalise on the word IDEAL, get out there and see what your customers think is ideal. If your potential consumer is more youth oriented, then try words like sassy, sleazy, smoky, saucy or maybe even sexy....somehow, the initial letter 's' kind of speaks for them just fine. Similarly, if you have more corporate officials and CEO's driving in, you could use words that really involve their personal opinion...try to make them oblige them with them feeling a sense of belongingness, so the word should in a way relate to their personal intuitive emotions. In my opinion, you could use simple words like happy, satisfied, content or looking forward to be here again. These words aid the people with feeling important, they do not feel left out. They might actually feel important enough to make another business visit soon enough.

What does icsc in relation to customer satisfaction surveys?

International Council of Shopping Centers Gauges State of Retail Industry with WebSurveyor

The International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the global trade association of the shopping center industry with 54,000 members in more than 80 countries, decided to launch a survey series to measure the business sentiment of industry executives. ICSC needed a solution that would allow it to gather monthly responses from hundreds of industry executives in the United States. Traditional survey methods like paper and telephone surveys were just not fast or convenient enough to follow the rapidly changing shopping center environment.

As I was filling in the survey part of the form I noticed a red warning light from McAfee Site Advisor.

Was surprised to find that.

Reason was, according to McAfee, because site "engages in negative or undesirable actions".

Was wondering if many people are aware of that.

What does icsc in relation to customer satisfaction surveys mean?

International Council of Shopping Centers Gauges State of Retail Industry with WebSurveyor

The International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the global trade association of the shopping center industry with 54,000 members in more than 80 countries, decided to launch a survey series to measure the business sentiment of industry executives. ICSC needed a solution that would allow it to gather monthly responses from hundreds of industry executives in the United States. Traditional survey methods like paper and telephone surveys were just not fast or convenient enough to follow the rapidly changing shopping center environment.

why dont they create a clorox/acid treatment micro-mini-nano bot that crawls round the toilet rim and does its work automatically?

Lizol is too smelly and ineffective - IMRB customer survey 1981

I wonder why dont they produce Clorox and Dettol combined - HW

Just like they have a Scooba for automatic floor vacuum,?
Lysol works I use the commercial strength multi purpose cleaner since that kills a broad spectrum of germs found in communal environments this stuff kills the herpes virus and their matching commericial strength toilet cleaner kills the type one HIV virus. You were referring to the Roomba which is that round automatic vaccuum you can turn on and it cleans the room by itself.

Who ever got one of those random customer satisfaction surveys on your Rite Aid receipt?

This particular Rite Aid where I USED to go they would tell me (and other customers) about the survey when it appeared on the receipt: participate in our customer satisfaction survey, rate our store from 1-5 with 5 being the best and if I enter the survey I have a chance to win $10,000. Telling people about the survey is fine but the problem I have with it is they tell me and the other customers to please rate them a 5 because it will help their store out. I don't think the customer should be coerced into giving a good rating and they should be getting help not asked to help the store. What do you think? Has that happened to you or someone you know? I'm wondering if all Rite Aid's do that crap. PLEASE RESPOND!!! ALSO I HEARD THE MANAGER FUSS AT A CLERK FOR NOT SAYING "PLEASE GIVE OUR STORE A 5" after telling about the survey.

Who ever got one of those random customer satisfaction surveys on your Rite Aid receipt?
yep its crappy but they actually do get in trouble by supervisors for not asking the customers to give them a "5". I used to work at Belk and they did the same thing to us. I NEVER asked someone to give a 5. its their own opinion on how they feel...

How many emails sent out at a time constitute bulk email?

I'm trying to send out a customer survey, but I am getting a lot of bulk email filters. If I send out, say, 50 emails at a time, will that reduce the number of bulk email filters I encounter? I'm currently sending out 500 at a time.

How many emails sent out at a time constitute bulk email?
The answer is 2 or more.

It depends on a method you use to send out this email. Are you simply send it out from your email box, with all the entries added in the To field? If so, you will definitely be caught by most spam filters.

You can use scripts to send out mass emails from servers directly. If you're not familiar with that, there are also companies that send out bulk emails as a service.

I know, not a poll or survey, but If I lose my job because of a lie that a customer said to my manager...?

Would that be considered slander and could I sue that customer for damages? I work in a hotel and a guest claimed that I called his girlfriend and told her that he was bringing strange women back to the hotel. I didn't do this of course since I don't know him or her and it wouldn't be any of my business anyways, but it got me into really hot water with my manager, who believed him over me. I am an exemplary employee who even received a near perfect score on my evaluation two weeks ago. I have not lost my job, but since leaving the gentleman has called several times asking to speak with the manager who has been out. I am worried that when she gets back he will call her and tell her something else and I will lose my job. If this happens is there any kind of recourse that I could take against him or against the hotel?

I'm just looking for answers and the law section is of course incredibly slow. I don't even know if anybody is there...

OMG, Patrick...Did this go further than the last time you posted this Q? I am SO sorry to hear this. I was hoping that we had settled you down some on it, but GEEZ. What are the benefits from customers surveying?

Hey ppl... I need some different ideas from you guys =) Thanks!

What are the benefits from customers surveying?
customer surveys are actually a good thing. Although many people do not realize the importance because they do not see what happens on the inside of each corporation. Surveys can lead to changes and even if people decide they don't want to sign one or answer the questions they wont be heard and the problem won't be fixed. For example, radio stations often times will have surveys that ask what station you like most. Where I live they recently had a radio station change from pop to Mexican.Spanish music. Several people were upset and only got mad after the fact. but when looking at the surveys people answered they prefered the one over the other. It is strange how things work out.

Reply:customers surveying is very important in planning for your business especially if you plan to innovate or produce new product or services. It is importnat because we get a first hand information from the customers like what they really to buy from your store or whatsover.. the fact that they are the cusomers then they are the one who will decide what will be the product or service you will give/make availble for them.

How can I not qualify for a bank teller position because of a SURVEY?

Well, I recently got a call from Bank of America asking if I was still interested in their opening position as a bank teller. And they felt that my resume, my past work experience, along with my skills were very strong in most areas. And they asked if I could take a survey to see if I qualify for the position. I answered all the questions honestly and they were all great answers. I am a very outgoing person, love meeting new people, a people-person and I can deal with many customers throughout the day. I still can't see why they would tell me that I do not meet their qualifications. I was very shock when i got the results and I started to worry, thinking why wouldn't I get chosen? I am not use to failing, especially not from a test that has nothing to do with english, math, and so forth. It was a personality test, and I felt that my personality would best be suited for the job. Can anyone give me some advice?

How can I not qualify for a bank teller position because of a SURVEY?

M.D has been surveying customers about their dining experience. survey used a scale of 1 to 5.?

Mel's diner has been surbeying their customers for the past couple of years about their dining experience in the restaurant. the survey uses a scale of one to five, five being best to indicate customer satisfaction. Mel's customer satisfaction averaged 2.5 last year, but this year it is 2.9. is the difference statistically significant? and is this pa parametric or nonparametric?

M.D has been surveying customers about their dining experience. survey used a scale of 1 to 5.?
2.9 would suggest better customer service. But the customers themselves will have different likes and dislikes.

If the 2.9 value was maintained over a vast range of customers' surveys, then yes it's statistically significant. The significance of this should show in the income.

It could be parametric if this value is maintained.
Reply:The answer depends on the sample size and assumptions about the distribution of scores. The test would be parametric.
Reply:Really depends on the sample size, you may have to be concerned with time of day, and type of meal as well. New wait staff? How busy it is? Lots of posssible factors depending on how many times it was taken. Assuming all else is the same then size is most critical.

Online Customer Surveys that Pay?

So i am looking for a way to make a little extra cash, like $20 a month or something, and I have seen these online surveys that "pay". Are any of them actually gunna work or am I just going to be a sucker for spam and trial offers I have to sign up for? Anyone know any that work? Im not looking for a job doing this, just want a little extra pocket cash!

Online Customer Surveys that Pay?
There are several sites. Do not give anyone your SSN there are lots of sites out there that are legit and they do not need this info from you. Nor do you have to pay to join. I am a member of several. The one I have had the most luck with is Lightspeed. They do not pay you cash you get points which can be converted into cash via pay pal. However, they send me the most surveys. And already twice now I have been asked to participate in a more extensive survey in which I was sent a palm pilot in the mail and asked to record certain daily activities. The ones I have completed offered a $50 incentive and that was in the form of a check in addition to the points I received for completing the initial survey. I have also done survey savy which has a great referral program if you know people who will join you get money for surveys they complete. I have also tried American Consumer Opinion. They pay by check in mail for all surveys, but I have not been able to complete many of their surveys. I did a lot of research before joining these three. You also need to be a regular email checker because if you don't respond to the survey fast enough they have met their quota.
Reply:i take it you live in the usa then? i know some UK websites like homeofresearch.com and ipsos pay ok for online surveys and home of research sometimes do surveys where you can go and talk to people or test things i got paid £150 for doing one of those with home of research but i dont know if this will help you if you live in the US try them and see if they have US customers
Reply:All those I've responded to want you to pay a fee to join - then all you get is a list of sponsors whom you can contact. Approach your supermarket managers, ask which vendors need display persons. You know, those persons who serve bite sized products and give you a coupon to buy the product!

Do you need a permit to take surveys at the mall?

I want to do a customer survey for a business I want to start, however, my girlfriend said you might need a permit. Is this true?

Do you need a permit to take surveys at the mall?
The mall is private property so you need permission from the mall management to use their property to conduct your survey. When you get permission - make sure to get it in writing so that you won't have any hassles with mall security while you are there.

Would you be more apt to buy a car from a dealership that was awarded for customer service?

More specifically would you be more likely to buy a car from a dealership that successfully passed a "secret shopper survey" from a non-affiliated/non-bias "watch dog group", that went in as a customer and rated them. As apposed to Ford sending someone to a Ford dealership to survey the dealership. Moreover, would you be willing to go to a website and search specifically in your area for a reputable dealership that you can trust?

Would you be more apt to buy a car from a dealership that was awarded for customer service?
I see where this is going. You are trying to get an opinion survey to see if there is a market for an independent secret shopper. Let me know if it works. I am in the car business, and I can say that I do think it is important to purchase a car from a dealer that can pass those types of surveys. Most could not, but that does not necessarily mean they are ruthless lying bastards. However, if there is a dealer that can pass these surveys, it would go a long way in drawing customers. Contrary to popular belief, price does not always sell cars.
Reply:hey, superman, if you wanna buy a car it should be about how they treat you, not what the public perception is. if you go into a dealership and they treat you with respect and listen to your needs and meet or exceeded them that's the dealership for you. i never listen to what the popular opinion is about anything, that leaves me with the question of, am i conforming or am i basing my own opinion. to many liberals take way to much time scrutinizing every thing that everybody should do or shouldn't do. do what makes you feel good and don't conform. if you want to follow every little guideline set by the liberals than you will never feel like you made your own decision on anything.
Reply:If you are lookin at a new car , buy it from a local dealer , just shop around for price , you get your car fixed at a local shop that you bought it from they are better at getting you in and small stuff like a loaner if you need it , Used car shopping go with you r better instinct and research and ask prior customers of their opinion
Reply:buying from a reputable dealership is always important for me, personally, but what's equally important is price...
Reply:mario, you are too quick for me today!

listen, bub, ya wanna buy a car from someone you trust, right?

go to a dealership. it's sorta luck of the draw which salesman comes to help you out, but, that is not the only lot around, is it?

my point is this: good dealerships can hire bad people, bad dealerships can hire good people, and a secret shopper survey, while nice, is really grading only ONE person's performance, and averaging it for the whole business.

i assure you, most guys in the car business have families, bills, and a conscience just like you do. we are not trying to take advantage of you, but we ARE trying to give our families a confortable existence. find a guy that is WORTH a few extra dollars, and let him EARN your business.

would go a long way toward continued happiness once you have a few dings and battle scars on your new car if your salesman actually remembers your name, wouldn't it?

ask your friends and families for a personal referral for the guy they bought their car from. if they would go back to him, perhaps he does the job right!

Survey: Whats the funniest customer complaint you have heard?

So, I work for an electric provider and this woman called to complain on another agent. She told me that " he was so rude he should be working as a used car sales man".... I started giggling which in turn made her laugh... she appologized for saying the used car thing. but said that he was rude. we both left the call with a smile...

Once when I was waiting tables, a woman complained because our guacamole dip was made with avocados instead of guacamole's!
Reply:When I was working at FedEx Kinko's, we had just finished remodeling the store, and this guy came in with his mom and went up to the front counter where I was. He started to complain about how stupid the new store layout was, and how all of his extra workspace was gone, even though it wasn't, and then he talked for like 20 minutes about how stupid it was. Like I could do anything about that. Then he asked to speak to my assistant manager about it, and she had to hear about how stupid the layout was too. Oh, and he was literally yelling about it. I don't understand why people complain about things they have no control over and they complain to people who can do nothing about it...it's pointless.

EDIT: Forgot about another one. A guy had a stack of papers in a fax machine and yelled at me because it was asking him for a fax number instead of giving him 20 copies of his stack, stapled. What a dumbfcuk.
Reply:i worked at a restaurant and one of our menu items was described as: dill albacore tuna salad sandwich or salad plate. first, the lady (with menu in hand) asked me if it had dill in it. then when i brought her her sandwich, she asked what the green stuff was in her tuna. then she wanted to speak to the manager (which was me) and the owner (who thought she was really stupid) because she said our menu was misleading. another time i was working the line and a pain-in-the-*** regular came in and ordered a kids' PB%26amp;J. I told the server to go and ask him if he'd prefer crunchy or creamy peanut butter. he told the server to tell me to MAKE IT HALF AND HALF. i had a full window of tickets and was slammed so i put the peanut butter (both kinds), jelly, bread, and a knife in a basket with a note that said "make your own damn sandwich, i'm too busy for this." i got a "stern" talking to by the owner, but it was sooo worth it!

Survey on Technical support/ Customer care?

If you were the buyer of a computer and you called the manufacturer of the system. which would you prefer to happen?

1. you are having issues with your system and you call for some help to make it work right again, and you get a tech. on the phone who understands the frustration your going through and they sit it out until the problems if either resovled or found. and a solution is given?

or

2. you would call to have it repaired or make it run right again, and you get a tech on the phone who gets your info, serial number and such. then they ask you what is wrong with the system, and then they say.. well sir, that may take me some time to research, so do you mind If I call you back at some set time that is conveniant to you? and then we may be able to find a solution to this issue.

Survey on Technical support/ Customer care?
Hello,

Given the choice of the two, I'd prefer the first. If the tech does not know the answer quickly, however, a call-back approach is acceptable if... they actually do call back and they speak my language well enough that I do not need to ask them to repeat every other word.

Patience, understanding, empathy and the desire to resolve the issue are 50% of the right formula in a phone tech. Firsthand knowledge, proper education in the subject and good troubleshooting skills are the other 50%. From my experience, something is usually missing from the skills pool in tech support people. It may not be their fault, but that doesn't really matter to the person on the other end of the phone call.

I spent 2 1/2 years as a phone tech for a high-tech test and measurement company that sold PC software along with their hardware products. Most of the support calls were about the software- it was quite complicated. I can tell you that I did not always please the caller. But I made it my mission to have and use the technical and people skills I mentioned. It made a difference. It is also costly for the tech support people. Burn-out is common and happens pretty fast. If you're looking for advice on how to run a tech support group, my advice is treat your techs as valuable assets and with respect. Give them the tools and motivation to do their jobs well and they will make your company shine.

Why is Dish network customer support so crappy?

I have been trying to get a refund since Aug 9th from there on a DVR I returned and all I keep getting is a runaround.

They always say we are working on it and call back in 7-10 days, sort of getting old dealing with them.

Anybody ever have the same problem?

Also if you notice on their 800 number it says, #1 in Customer service, wonder who they surveyed to get that.

How can i code my survey data into spss?
Your question is so general and lacking in detail that it is difficult to help you. You have obviously conducted some research, gathered some data and now want to analyse this data statistically to enable you to draw some conclusions. SPSS is a statistical software package but at the end of the day it takes the time and labour out of the calculations. You really must know what you are trying to do. SPSS is a tool and you must know and why to use such tools. I am sorry if this sounds a bit of a lecture but as an examiner I have to tell you this is the truth. But let's try to help you. 'Discovering Statistics Using SPSS' by Andy Field is an excellent book. Try to get a copy from the library.

How does Home Depot measure customer satisfaction?

Does Home Depot have or rely on some type of metric to measure customer satisfaction? Do they have surveys or things for customers to participate in to measure how customers feel about the store and the service they received? Will vote for the best answer.

How does Home Depot measure customer satisfaction?
I was employed at a Home Depot most of 2005 during a "career change". I worked in many areas because it also, was and still is, the Home Depot I routinely shop, therefore, I knew about most items and locations. I could also, as a "home handy man", explain some items, i.e., home repairs, in some cases, best product for needs, etc.

I never saw a survey, a cash register receipt with number to call, nothing for "customer satisfaction" info. Home Depot, Lowe's continue with increased profits, every year. I would say this is THEIR customer satisfaction indicator.

In today's world we live in a society of "negative" people. Why? Too many of us form opinions, not on FACT or PROOF, but what we want to believe. We "dwell" on the "problems" of others, only "seeing" and "hearing" the "bad", NOT willing to understand. "Losers" in life that come home and watch TV, only see "negative" news, maintaining their individual "boring" life. MOST Americans will, as soon as possible, call to report a "complaint" on an employee if there was a problem. HOW ABOUT those that go beyond expectations, do their job as expected, help in any way possible, DO WE on average get their name and make a "positive" call, NO!!!! ONLY when same employee makes a "mistake" in any way.

I did ask once about "complaints" our store received, by the way, I had none. We were a very busy store daily until late hours and averaged 15 daily complaints, only few in a week complimenting. Home Depots, I'm sure with Lowe's as well, are extremely dedicated to insuring proper "training" and "orientation" is conducted before anyone starts work. This is a 4 day event and is very "detailed".

Before I was a Home Depot employee I often wondered why employees were or seemed unfriendly. Informative if I needed help on an install but very brief, to a point of being NO help at all. Almost "robotic" in nature at times was my personal description of employees, NO personality with any, saying a simple hello to "cashiers" you would think you "bit" off their arm, BUT now I know these answers.

Here is what employees are "trained" to do at Home Depot. Never offer too much "detailed" information on any product, if so, and the customer has a problem or gets injured, LAW SUIT. Being overly friendly, i.e., "You look great today" (seen by some as a "suggestive", "pickup" move), etc. LAW SUIT. Allowing a customer to assist "holding" wood or a "rug" while cutting, LAW SUIT. Any "presumed" cuss word, as a "simple", DAMN a customer may hear, LAW SUIT. Every imagineable way anyone can "think of" to "sue" has been done and will continue.

Remember, Home Depot, as I now know, is extremely "wealthy" and "profitable". "Look" at "all walks of life" doing business, and as you "cruise" the store, concentrate on what YOU see for possible "injury" or just a "bruise". Many LAW SUITS presented daily to Home Depot stores, are often in the 'customers" favor, regardless if an employee is "guilty" or not. Last thing Home Depot wants is "negative" publicity, it WILL NOT hurt business, but put into "individuals" (low life's) heads ways to also "profit" in the store, if on the "news". Typically, cash settlements are "offered" and "accepted", lying customer got what they wanted, although, much less than originally "suing for", but know, in court they will lose.

Important to understand, "legimate" claims must be "dealt" with under the "laws" swiftly, agreeable by both parties, mainly the customer "injured" or "insulted". Legimate claims are those requiring services of a doctor, emergency, possibly a "cut". "Word of Mouth" claims (cussiing, insults) usually require a "witness", especially if employee is a "good" employee.

Hope this helps. If you speak to or request help from a Home Depot employee it usually is not the nature or character of that employee if seemingly "brief", not smiling, etc. it is the Home Depot way.
Reply:I don't know but it must be better that LOWE'S

Just two days ago i had a very bad experience with Lowe's store.

Survey: How important is good customer service to you?

For me, it can determine if i return to the establishment.

My pet hate is when a young person calls me %26quot;love%26quot; %26quot;hun%26quot; or %26quot;chookie%26quot; (i fall in the 30 - 40 age bracket) I feel this is insulting to the paying customer and a sound example of poor customer service.

Your pet hates?|||i agree with you, if i receive good service i am more likely to return and to recommend the store to friends. there is nothing worse than going to a store and be left standing there waiting for service while employees are showing no interest in tending to you, i will walk out and go else where when that happens. i also detest it when called love or darl etc by anyone and even more so if they are younger than i am. when i do get exceptional service i will always notify management , in person, and again when i get home home, either via phone or e-mail. everyone is quick to complain about unsatisfactory service and i think it is important to recognise those who do their job well.|||It%26#039;s simply because customers are turning their backs to businesses that do not deliver value. And great customer support adds value!There%26#039;s no way around it.No shortcuts.Customers demand value for money or they are out of the door.

- The level of concern shown for the individual customer

- The level of friendliness shown towards the customer

- The level of civility shown towards the customer

Unmanned front desks, surly servers, clueless staff, employees talking on the phone %26amp; managers who refuse to acknowledge a customer. It is no longer an exception ... poor service has become the norm.|||i hate it when the person serving you says nothing but the total amount.. No hello no smile no acknowledging you exist its very very bad customer service. Although i have worked in customer service for years and people can be amazingly rude to you and ruin your day in minutes|||i hate when the person is always smiling but u can tell there angry as heck or when your under the age of ten they tell you not to touch anything like at age 16 your gonna break the expensive crystal bowl.

customer service is main for me. like one time i had this coupon i got from a magazine website. it said print here for free yada yada so i took it to the store but they wouldnt except it because it wasnt the original. if i had copied it to get more, wouldnt it show up in the computer as already being used? anyways i refuse to buy from that place ever since|||VERY IMPORTANT... I used to be in customer service. My biggest pet hate is when I am ignored, they are too busy talking to work mates to acknowldge you and no, I will not go back.

What is the cost to the company who hire some survey companies to know what the customer thinks?

what is pricing methodology for these companies?

Is it based one record=some amount of money?|||Pricing is based on the structure of the methodology, timeframe, composition of the sample and number of successfully screened applicants (for example how many people complete the entire survey, how many people pass the screener, etc.)

For quantitative surveys, you would be paying for a larger sample size, especially if you have certain quotas that you want filled (male, female, age groups, etc.)

For qualitative surveys, the sample size will be smaller, but there may be ancillary costs such as focus group facility rental, incentive fees for participants, etc.|||These links offer some quality information:

I think prices vary dramatically. Some fortune 500 companies pay millions of dollars to contract with survey research firms. Report Abuse
|||There is a full-service survey firm in Atlanta called Infosurv that charges $3500 - $6500 for the design, administration, and analysis of an online customer satisfaction survey. That price includes survey design consultation and statistical analysis, and the price varies based on the level of results analysis that you need. Their website is listed below as well as a link to their brochure. That is where they list their actual pricing options. As well I%26#039;ve listed another well known company,Business Research Lab, though unfortunately I do not know their pricing information. Both these companies are well known, respected companies in the field of Online Survey Making, and should hopefully answer your question. I hope this helps.

I never have recieved one as of yet. Did you get one?|||Never.|||Never.

Lol|||quite a few months ago.

What is a customer satisfaction survey?

companies who value their customers and their increased business will provide their customers a short questionairre to evaluate their experiences. they ask for negative and positive feedback in order to better serve the public. happy customers return and will get them more business by word of mouth. this is the BEST form of advertisement. wouldn%26#039;t you rather go to a company referred to you by a friend or just look them up in the yellow pages? wouldn%26#039;t you be willing to even pay a little more, if it meant you would be treated with respect and dignity? wouldn%26#039;t you rather buy a car that meets YOUR needs, and not for HIS financial gain? a really good salesman will put your needs first, knowing in the long run, you%26#039;ll return and send all your friends to him too. everybody wins.|||i do believe the clue is in the name!!|||Its to see how satisfied consumers and buyers are with a particular service or product.|||As everyone says....

But - the survey is often combined with a lot of questions which are nothing to do with satisfaction but simply to get advertising leads|||Well nowdays it is hard to know whether the customer is satisfied or not towards your products, service, shop decoration, etc.. Therefore you need a tricks to see if your customer is REALLY satisfied. Sometimes people don%26#039;t react honest if you just give them a piece of paper and ask them to tick %26lt;Very Satisfied%26gt; %26lt;Okay%26gt; %26lt;Not Satisfied%26gt; It is up to you to use the technique to see whether your customer is satisfied or not .

Example : The smiling survey : It is a survey to check if your customer leaves your shop with smile or not. Then you can see how many people leaves your store with happy mood.|||a survey to find out if the customer is satisfied!|||A survey carried out to find out what customers are satisfied with and what they are not satisfied with.

How to write a customer survey letter?

company installs home entertainment and commercial sound systems. I want to write a customer survey letter.|||Here is one I sent off recently ............

Hello

While I thought about filling out the card and sending it in , I felt that a short letter might tell more then just a few tiny lines about how I feel about your service. Personally I think that this note will get nothing more then a file 13 (trash can) here it is anyway. So how do I feel about your service ?? Well as for the lady I talked with on the phone , A pink slip for sure. I%26#039;m sorry and lots of bs. If I need someone to tell me lies , I would still have an wife and not an x -wife. If you tell me one price and ask my name for a quote for your records. then it keeps changing , well I guess I bent over for you. Then another thing , I had asked what time . the first approximate time was between 9:30 and 10:00 . I said ok . I had called at 8:00 to make sure that I would be able to show them directions. My house is hard to find, there are very few numbers around this area. I have had to show everyone where I live , or they will not find there way here. So I told them I would be by the phone , and when the service man got close or in town to give me a call and I would meat them somewhere to show them how to get to my house. So I waited by the phone. no one called .I call the office in (city removed for posting) at 10:45 giving them enough time, thinking the could be busy, and I understand this . The lady who answered the phone said I%26#039;ll call you back. So I waited by the phone. at 12:00 I called again, she said I%26#039;ll call you back . At 1:30 she did call back, told me it will be between 2:30 and 3:00, and as long as I was talking to her I asked the price again to make sure I had the right amount of cash here to pay for it. the price had went up by $20.00 , but I figured what ever %26quot; I need this done %26quot;. She asked if this could be put off until another day I told her that I would not be here the next day , I would be out of town. She said she would have the service man call me. so I waited for a call from the service guy. I called the office once more at 4:45 5 minuets before the store closes for the day. I wanted to know is this going to happen or not. She said he will call you. Well I waited until 5:45 when the service guy called. He asked if I was paying cash, because he did not have enough gas money to come out if it was paid by credit card , or by check . I said yes I have the cash, he said ok I will call you back, when I get close to wal-mart in (My city removed for posting), I said ok. Well I left the house at 6:20 to meet him at wal-mart, he still had not called , but my brother was here to answer the phone if he called while I was going to the place to meet up with him , and show him where I live. When I got to wal-mart he had just pulled into the parking lot , and he followed me to my house. His work ethic was impeccable, he was friendly, clean, fast, and tidy. Did a great job and I was pleased with his work. If he would have been a jerk , or had an attitude I would have told him don%26#039;t waste my time , and just left your company out in the cold. So how do I feel about the experience as a whole ?? I wasted my entire day off. waiting and listening to lies. I called another glass company for my brothers pick up, Saturday. they came out and installed it Saturday , 3 hours from the time I called until the job was finished. One other thing about your service I did not like was the Louisiana Inspection sticker. I can get a free inspection sticker if I drive to your shop. your shop is about 40 miles from my house. In that many miles I%26#039;m sure that I would have been pulled over by the sheriffs department. no to mention the cost of gas. So as for what I see the cost should have been $10.00 less. I did get my car inspected right here in town, $10.00. If your going to come out what would be wrong with bring a sticker with the service man. You say free inspection stick with windshield , but if I have to take a day off , or drive that far, it would not be free for me . Well I know that me personally would I do business with your company again ?? Don%26#039;t hold your breath. And all the best advertising in the world can%26#039;t fix a bad reputation. And it is not like anyone is even going to read this letter, but if you do CONGRATULATIONS and THANK YOU .

What is the essence of 'Customer Survey'?

What is the essence of....?

the paper that contains Satisfied , Very Satisfied , Dissatisfied.... etccc....

Is it really important ? Why|||A customer survey is important to determine if the products and/or the services the company is providing are meeting the needs of the customer. Good companies use this feedback in order to make changes in their products, and also to determine if their employees are properly working with the product or service--did the employee give the proper information, etc.

an important aspect is making sure that the survey is asking the right questions. The Likert scale (good, very good, excellent, etc.) is one way to measure satisfaction. Large numbers of surveys are tabulated to get an overview of what%26#039;s going on--one answer typically won%26#039;t be accurate.

Surveys are important because the company usually has competition and must know how customers feel about the product or service. For instance, maybe you make red cars and you arent%26#039; selling very many--you want to know why. You may think it%26#039;s because people just don%26#039;t like red, but a survey might show that the sales people aren%26#039;t giving the right information on the car so people may like the color but they are afraid to buy it for some other reason. So, instead of getting rid of the red cars (based on your initial hunch), you would make new information packets and retrain your employees.|||It allows you an opportunity to analyze your service

where it is deficient -

where it is outstanding

so that you have an opportunity to tweak it to improve

your company

BECAUSE

If you don%26#039;t treat your customers well - they will go somewhere

where they are appreciated - and you will be liquidating

your stock on the floor

all the best|||You%26#039;re measuring your customers satisfaction with your company, product or services. If, for instance, only 60% of your customer answer satisfied or very satisfied then it%26#039;s telling you that you might lose 40% of your customers. That%26#039;s why there%26#039;s usually a space where customers can make suggestions on how you can improve. Most companies rely on repeat customers in order to maintain revenues and project future sales. A company can%26#039;t afford to possibly lose 40%. These types of surveys are great management tools to increase company performance and improve customer satisfaction.

How can I score a 10 on customer surveys?

I work in tech support and people call me everyday and ask for help and I didn%26#039;t score high enough like I want on customer surveys this month (scale of 1-10, 10 being the best). I need a customers opinion to improve my performance so I can get better survey scores. This affects my bonus, so please be honest, I%26#039;m tough, I can take it, but please be brief, I just need advice not your whole bad experience story (we all have those stories). Thank you for your honesty.|||You know what? You should start your own business. That%26#039;ll be where the rubber meets the road.

Anyone with the care and interest you have in excelling, deserves to be paid what s/he%26#039;s worth....not what some boss is willing to pay.

Cheers!|||Well when I bought a car the salesman told me I%26#039;d be asked to rate them and asked me to rate them a ten.

I think if you could and aren%26#039;t recorded you can ask your customers if they have any other questions or if you can be of further service. If they say no then tell them that they will be asked to rank your helpfulness and you want to do everything possible to earn a ten and thank them for their call, etc.

That plants the seed to give you a ten! Good luck.
