Who works from home? What do you do to make good money?

I don't want answers like....ebay, surveys, polls, secret shoppers, stuff envelopes, sell Home Interior/Candles/Tastefully Simple/Meleluca ect. Or responses that try to get you to "join" something. I shouldn't have to pay to get paid. I'm looking for something legit.





I don't want something that promises I'm going to make $10,000 a month (scam) or something very out of reach.





I can't be a customer service rep who calls/answers phones all day with 2 young kids. And I can't be tied down for 8 hours straight with them around either. It has to be something real that I can do by working around my kids (during nap time ect).





I used to work at a big office doing taxes and payroll before my kids were born. That's way too stressfull to want to do from home now.





Please somebody help me!

I recently started working from home because I am expecting my first baby in July. I searched for quite a while before I found my current gig (I learned about it from another stay-at-home mom on this site). You DO have to work - it isn't a get rich doing nothing scheme - but it's a great company, comes with benes, 401K, etc. do your own research and you'll find something - good opportunities DO exist.

Reply:I am in the health and wellness industry - (skin care cosmetics and wellness) it enables me to be my own boss and work around 3 very busy children - and I couldn't take a job where I had to drop it because my kids needed me - but I also have some time and feel the need to do something. The income potential is sales so I push myself to do well. It's just how I measure success not just $, perhaps the co. car


or sales trips too - or extra $ for all my family loves!

Reply:I wish I did know of something that was legit. I hate to say it but most of them that I have looked into have been scams. BUT. I do have a friend that sold Pampered Chef. It is sort of like Avon....but it is with kitchen gadgets. I hear you can make a lot of money doing it. When I quit my full-time job I may consider doing that. I am a young mother of two girls that are 14 months apart...I know exactly how you feel!!! GOOD LUCK!
Reply:I don't know what your work skills are, but you can do transcription from home. I work around my kids and only have a couple of hours during the day to work in, and then at night when they're asleep and on weekends when my husband is around. Your hours of work are really flexible.

I have reps across the country that sell my products for me for product and commissions. They introduce my products to their friends and email, fax the orders and I create them and send them out. We don't use catch phrases like "triple scented" because anyone that actually makes candles, knows that you can't have a triple scented candle. (Unless you make one with 3 different scents) Wax no matter what type will only hold so much scent so don't be mislead by people claiming to triple scent their wax. Reply:You are going to have a hard time finding a job to meet your requirements. Being a mom of 3 young boys, I understand your time dilema of being tied down and not being able to be on the phone all day. You may want to look into doing daycare from home. You already have childrens items and movies, so you won't have to purchase a ton of items to help entertain or distract them.





You might want to consider the benefits of starting a home based business. The tax benefits are awesome. That is one of the things that got us interested in businesses.





Look at your hobbies and interests to see if there is a market or trend in those that can help make a lucrative business. That way the time and effort put into it will seem more like fun, than work.





After doing my homework, I decided to own an online travel agency through a really great company. I periodically check on my site throughout the day- the company I am with, maintains the site and does the majority of the paperwork for me. All I have to do is let everyone I know about my website (business cards, flyers, magnets on my van, online ads). The customer can book everything themselves. I have access to training 24/7 and have great mentors to help me when I have questions or problems. It was a really good fit for our situation.





Whatever you do, do your homework. Some states do not require you to be liscensed when you babysit only a child or two that belong to friends or family. I hope that you find what you are looking for and have a great day!
Reply:Find something that interersts you. It's important to do research so you can get excited about what your doing.





I have found a wellness company that is a wholesale buying site, and they give you the option to make money. It's great! and with everyone becoming more aware of products that are nontoxic and safe for everyone, even better. I am mom of 2 and I look into what comes into my home, and all these products are safe for my kids and pets to be around.





Again, its a wholesale buying site so everyone is a customer, but they give the option to make extra money at no extra cost.
