Survey>>>>>If someone started yelling at you in a foreign language?

Today I had someone yelling at me in Spanish because I wouldn't let him use a dryer. (On busy days dryers are for washing customers) I did not understand what he was saying. Would this upset you or would you just let it roll off your back? I just kind of laughed and waved bye bye!

Survey%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;If someone started yelling at you in a foreign language?
i would yell back at him i only know a little bit of spanish from school. it would sound something like this:

"es un platano sucio! No lo come!"

(it's a dirty banana, don't eat it!)
Reply:i'd just walk away like you did
Reply:At first I might feel offended or confused, but later I will ignore that person who yelled at me...

Just to let you know, it's my method to tell off someone using a language that they don't understand if they ever pissed me off... ^_^
Reply:That's when I start using sign language! All nationality's understand it.
Reply:haha. i'd start yelling at him in gibberish. maybe that would shut him up.

XD
Reply:%26gt;%26gt; i would of laughed.. lol
Reply:my reaction, exactly, adios amigo~
Reply:You could also give him the finger.....I believe that's known in any language.
Reply:I would say "Que lastima!".
Reply:I would start yelling back at him in pig latin lol

actually I know spanish... ouch on that one
Reply:well, comprendo espanol, so it doesnt happen often anymore.

but doesnt it make you wish that the u.s. had an official language?
Reply:Good for you! I usually say something like "oh for God's sake! I don't understand you. Speak English if you want to tell me something!! Hey! I had to learn English so why not you?????" I can be a bitc* sometimes.
Reply:i wouldve laughed and prolly made him yell more
Reply:I would let it roll and laugh
Reply:Well if ya don't understand..........

Reply:I would probably shrug my shoulders and reply that I didn't understand a word he was saying and walk away from him.
Reply:Yea, sometimes you just have to smile and nod.
Reply:he was maybe saying " nice cleveage".

Reply:i would say

"You know d amn well i dont know what your saying."
Reply:good response! no sense getting into a shouting match in english. just makes you look as foolish as the other person.
Reply:i'd probably laugh and say something witty in french.
Reply:Hi Sweetybit,

Hahahahaha... That is funny!!! If anyone is yelling at you for no reason i would of gave him the finger and then wave bye bye.. That would shut him up.. Hehehe.

A Friend,

poppy1
Reply:I would probably stare.
Reply:Petition to NOT modify our native language to include any foreign language: grin

serious note:

Surviving the language learning curve, you'll probably take a spanish course at some point. If you customers who are spanish speaking...write " Durante días ocupados los secadores son para lavar a clientes" means..On busy days dryers are for washing customers
Reply:Answer in a different language, like German :) ! confuse him. really fun to do.
Reply:I don't see anything funny about this type of communication barrier. I would try to understand what he is saying by body language. I would also let him know I don't understand Spanish, and try to find a way to speak to each other. Laughing and walking away is just being ignorant.
