If you moved into a luxury apartment, would you enjoy a gift basket from the agent? What should be in it?

Survey of customers for what items should be included in a welcome home gift basket to new tenants.

Gosh that would be really nice...I would be so appreciative of that... Do like an item for each room of the house...Maybe include.....Bottle of wine or champange and glasses or flutes (kitchen) and some gourmet cookies or crackers.....A couple of gift cards to local coffee shops or specialty stores....some scented candles or potpurri (bedroom, living room)..... Maybe a few garden items like flower seeds or bulbs (yard/garden) Oh, great idea...New address labels. That would be cool...If I think of anything else I will add it on.
Reply:Condoms, A bottle of gold schlager and some clean sheets for the morning.

Mwahahaha.
Reply:A letter to tell them that you will not call them to solicit more business or ask for referrals.
Reply:Warming gifts for the home.....

candles, hand towels and fancy soaps, a beautiful plant, bottle of wine, fancy chocolates, soft throws for the sofa

on a fun note....movies, or rental cards, popcorn, soda pop, candy

family note......board games, books, movies, disposable cameras, film, photo album, to capture first moments in home.

Dinner in a basket......Build a basket of ingrediants using a favorite recipe, pastas, sauces, spices, wine, dish towels, utensils all in a large pot or collendar.
Reply:While a gift basket is a great idea, a nice crystal vase w/ flowers and a gift certificate for Williams-Sonoma (what our agent sent after our closing) is something that will be used over again.

If you do go w/ the basket- try something for the main rooms of the home (kitchen: gift card for Williams - Sonoma and local gourmet food store, dining room: a set of candle sticks w/ tapers or decorative candles, living room: chenille throw or picture frames- 4x5 and 8x10, gift certificate to local movie store, box of popcorn and goodies.)

Have fun with it- for the bathroom include toiletries and for fun a rubber duck!

It all depends on how much you want to spend.
Reply:A great bottle of champagne! Fresh strawberries and two fluted champagne glasses. Maybe a little wedge of Brie with some tiny crackers. UMMMM!
Reply:i would never thought of expecting anything from my agent ..

but if there ever was...it should never be a fruit basket...

toilet accessories would be fine though ...

or bedroom covers like that ..

that would be sweet !
Reply:my idea of a "house warming" themed basket would include small things like a bar of smelly soap, matching potholders, maybe some welcome brownies or candies, some candles that match the colors of the apartment, something decorative, stuff of that nature
Reply:I don't know about luxury apartments, but when my wife and I bought our house (first and only one so far) about 10 years ago, our agent arranged to have a really nice dinner delivered to us the first night.

It was a very nice and thoughtful thing to do, because as she knew (and we didn't!), we ended up spending the whole day moving stuff in and figuring out what would go where and all that -- we didn't think we'd get so wrapped up in it. And then of course, we didn't know where to go to eat locally! So having a great dinner brought to us was just what we needed.

The other thing she threw in which may be standard but was still a nice touch, was a roof-to-basement home warranty for 2 years, including all apliances etc covered. The first year or two in a new place, a young couple is already going to be strapped for cash. Taking this worry off our shoulders was really thoughful -- especially as the darned furnce DID develop a problem the first winter, so we just called the warranty company and they sent someone to fix it and paid for the whole thing. Very nice!
Reply:Super idea, I worked as a Realtor for years and my clients alwa ys loved them. Try putting Washcloths folded nice also soaps shaped in different shapes, bubble bath, different things a ladie or man would like for bath. Also I did some with kitchen supplies ,if you know there color scheme !!..what they like such as apples, fruit, fill up a fruit basket that's always went over big because they would be hungry as they were moving and it was easy to eat without a mess.
Reply:Things like candles, gift certificates to local places, etc.
